What we is and what we ain't.
Our Placemat Proclamations.
As promised we are keeping you in the loop as we near the launch of the Untired mothership. Here's what's doin this week.
It is the tradition of most things starting new to have gold leaf mission statements and brand manifestos. You know the big "We Are" document. While we are generally in favor of bucking trends it's our experience that road maps are useful things. So in the vein of the more attainable and humble bar napkin mantra we present our Placement Proclamations.
We are:
A Weekly Premium Content Magazine. Published only online.
An exclusive, private community of.... Kindred spirits.
In tech terms we are a specialized, focused network within the internet social. Yeah that's why we didn't go with that as the headline.
We are an apolitical, nondenominational, cultural and entertainment publication.
We don't and never will employ Washington Lobbyists.
We take no advertising.
We do not publish paid articles.
We do not sell our subscribers information.
We do not allow Google to invade your privacy.
There are no annoying popups.
We will not chase you around the interwebs trying to sell you something.
We don't want to replace your knees, hips, or lips.
We will not market to your colon, your teeth, or your skin.
We will not advise you to buy gold.
We will provide inspiring stories of remarkable people.
We will share the cool things our member contributors are discovering.
We will make you laugh. Often.
We love the power of WOW and positively adore Awe.
We will always stoop to greatness.
We will encourage former whomever's to now be contributors of stories, insights and personal experiences.
That's the long and the short of our completely unsponsored Placemat Proclamations...in our own words.
Now here's some of George Carlin's words. Cuz we like 'em.
HOW TO STAY YOUNG
Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them.'
Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
Keep learning! Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever, even ham radio. Never let the brain idle.
Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
Laugh often, long and loud.
The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER :
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..
Invite some friends to the Untired party. We've got more than enough for everyone...and we love to share.
Greetings from Northern Michigan
